Zutaten

  • 2 cups of almonds
  • 4 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt

For on bread as a spreadable cheese or for adding to a salad.

Zubereitung

  1. Soak the almonds overnight in plenty of water.
  2. Add the soaked and thoroughly washed almonds to the AND SOY blender.
  3. Fill it with cold water until in between both marks.
  4. Select program 2 or 4 and start. Then the finished mixture is sifted through the sieve.
  5. Peel and chop the garlic. Puree the almond paste, lemon juice, salt and oil with a handheld mixer.
  6. Place the almond mixture onto a cheesecloth. Sprinkle the oregano onto it. Fold the corners of the cloth over the mixture. Place a plate on top of the packet and add weight, for example, a few thick books. Let it set at room temperature for about 10 hours.
  7. Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Remove the almond mixture from the cloth. Brush the almond feta with some olive oil. Bake in the oven for about 40 minutes until it is lightly browned.
